Five Visceral Pulses

The Inner Classic (內經) says, "The pulses which correspond to the five viscera are as follow: "The liver pulse is a string-like pulse, the heart pulse is a hook-shaped pulse (some say it is a surging pulse), the spleen pulse is an intermittent pulse (some say it is a moderate pulse), the lung pulse is a fur-like pulse (some say it is a rough pulse) and the kidney pulse is a stony pulse (some say it is a sunken pulse). "
